Program Details
The internet/Digital Marketing Certificate provides students with a solid grounding for entry-level internet marketing positions in agencies, businesses and freelance work. The certificate courses cover strategies topics such as Internet business models, e-commerce transactions and product fulfillment, as well as hand-on experience setting up and marketing a prototype online business. Students who intend to pursue a Business degree at a four-year institution will need to follow the courses required for the Business Administration transfer degree.

- Analyze the target market, competitors' offerings to that target, and types of products that will create a competitive advantage.
- Create an online community, including affiliate marketing, up sell, cross-sell, and venture partner opportunities; create customer relationships and strategies for retaining those customers for life.
- Describe the major trends in e-commerce today and explore future trends.
- Develop a prototype online business for the capstone project using a template-based site or a simple storefront package site, and conduct Alpha and Beta testing to debug the prototype site.
- Prepare and demonstrate an integrated social media marketing campaign, including personal branding, blogs, videos, email campaigns, affiliate marketing, Search Engine Optimization and Search Engine Marketing.
