  1. Analyze the target market, competitors' offerings to that target, and types of products that will create a competitive advantage.
  2. Create an online community, including affiliate marketing, up sell, cross-sell, and venture partner opportunities; create customer relationships and strategies for retaining those customers for life.
  3. Describe the major trends in e-commerce today and explore future trends.
  4. Develop a prototype online business for the capstone project using a template-based site or a simple storefront package site, and conduct Alpha and Beta testing to debug the prototype site.
  5. Prepare and demonstrate an integrated social media marketing campaign, including personal branding, blogs, videos, email campaigns, affiliate marketing, Search Engine Optimization and Search Engine Marketing.
