Learning Outcomes

Learning outcomes help you work towards your educational goals.

  1. Conduct health and fitness assessments, including assessment of coronary and other risk factors.
  2. Design a fitness and exercise prescription plan based on functional anatomy and biomechanics.
  3. Design and evaluate appropriate nutrition and weight management programs to complement exercise prescription for apparently healthy populations.
  4. Posses the knowledge, skills and abilities to take and pass the national exams for the following certifications: the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) personal training certification and the American Council on Exercise (ACE) Group Fitness Instructor certification.
